Low Loader Truck As this is such a big topic now we have decided to dedicate a whole page on this site to the issues with the proposed re-opening of Park Lane Quarry.

ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL JUNK SWAP

A Junk Swap was held on Saturday 6th March at the village hall.

Yet again many people turned up and parted with their unwanted items and took things they could use. A fantastic result with loads of people going away delighted. There wasn't much left at the end of the day... books and clothes went to charity shops and the rest was taken to Melksham Recycling Centre.

After we have covered the expence of hiring the hall we raised £34.74 for Haiti.

We'd like to thank everyone involved and assure you that another one will be held before the summer.

Neston School in the Snow A few months ago NRG donated a composter to Neston School. The Green Club then went about installing food boxes in all of the classrooms and started composting all the schools green waste. They were so successful that NRG have donated another composter to the school.

This Christmas the Green Club wrote and performed a Green Rap for the school and we have shown it here in the hope that it will inspire you also.

Green Club’s here
Neston School in the Snow With a wrapping rap
We’re gonna sort you out
‘cause we need the world back!

When you’re shopping
Don’t drive down the street
Take a bus
Or Use your feet!

When you’re buying gifts
You don’t need that plastic
Take your own bag
It’ll be fantastic!

On Christmas morning
Unwrapping your bicycle
Save the paper
It’s probably recycle-able

After Christmas
Reuse or chop your tree
Collect up all your cards
To recycle them is free

We’ve been Green Club
Now our rapping’s done
Have a very merry Christmas
And lots of Green fun! Yeah!

We at NRG are so impressed with the dedication of the Green Club and the school itself for recycling their food waste into something more useful. Well Done Neston School, keep up the good work.

We are asking all the children of Neston Village School to let us know what they think we, as a group, should be helping with next. Please fill out the form below to take part.
